We are here to assist children aged 0-18 years with a wide range of illnesses and conditions.
To schedule an appointment with us, you need a referral from your own doctor. Once you have received the referral, please contact our secretary.
We look forward to welcoming both children and adults to our clinic,. Our team consists of pediatrician Camilla Rix Birkegaard, pediatric nurses Maiken Kappel and Anja Arensbach-Hejlesen and secretary Line Stig.
Booking of appointment and cancellation or change of appointment
For making an appointment, cancellation or change of appointment please contact the secretary Monday to Thursday between 8.30 - 11.00 a.m., phone number 98 18 00 36.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled consultation, you must cancel by phone no later than 11.00 a.m. the day before the appointment. This helps us optimize our schedule and minimize waiting time for our patients. Please read our Fee Policy below for further information.
In case of delayed arrival, we can not guarantee that the examination can be carried out.
We will send a SMS reminder 7 days before the scheduled appointment. Therefore, please let us know if you get a new phone number.
Fee Policy for no-shows, late cancellation or late change of appointment
Please note that you are obligated by your appointment regardless of whether you have received a SMS or not.
In case of no-show or cancellation/change later than 11:00 am the day before the scheduled appointment a fee of 250 DKK will be charged. If one hour is allocated to the consultation, e.g. preliminary examinations, uroflow, exercise tests or annual check-ups, a fee of 500 DKK will be charged. This is according to the regulations between practicing specialist doctors and Danish Regions.
If the phone is closed, and you need to contact us immediately to avoid any fees, our EMAIL can be used exceptionally. Please provide the following information:
• Patient's full name
• Date of birth (leave out the last 4 digits of the CPR number if you don't send via secure email)
• Date and time of the appointment you wish to cancel.
Please note that new appointments are not given via email - you must therefore contact the clinic by phone to schedule a new appointment.
In case of repeated absences without cancellation, examination and treatment at Børneklinikken Aalborg can no longer be offered.
Consultations by video
In some cases, it is possible for the consultation to take place via video. If you wish for this, please call us at 98 18 00 36 Monday to Thursday between 8.30 - 11.00 a.m. and make arrangements. Video consultations take place via the app "Min Læge". See instructions for the app HERE (only available in Danish).
Find us/getting here
NOTE if you are using Google Maps as GPS, ask it to either navigate to "Børneklinikken Aalborg, Fyrkildevej" or to "Sundheds & Kvartershuset, Fyrkildevej." Currently there is a risk of being directed to the wrong location if you only search for the address Fyrkildevej 7.
Børneklinikken Aalborg is located in the health center "Sundheds & Kvartershuset" at Fyrkildevej 7, 1st floor, room 11, 9220 Aalborg Ø.
The healt center is located on the corner of Fyrkildevej and Humlebakken.
Parking
There are parking spaces right by the door, both in front of and behind the health center.
Please note that there is a 2-hour time-limited parking on the spaces in front of the health center, so remember to set the parking disc!
There is no time limit on the parking spaces behind the health center - these can be found by turning down Fyrkildevej and continuing to the 3rd speed bump, and turning left into the parking lot.
Bus connections
There is a bus stop close to the health center. Route 11 and 14 stops here, but there are also other alternatives, and we always recommend using Rejseplanen (also available as an app) to find the best route according to your departure destination.
